Backpack Full of Blessings
Through community outreach WINGS Ministry founder, Dr. Missy Settlemyre, became aware of children in her local community (Shallotte, NC) spending the weekend hungry. Not in another country but in her own hometown! After researching and partnering with local schools and other volunteer organizations, WINGS Ministry piloted the Backpack Full of Blessings Outreach in 2010 serving 35 students. Today, WINGS Ministry is currently serving over 525 students in the local communities.

WINGS Ministry also serves SC, GA, TN, AK, and AL.
​
WINGS also provides bibles, schools supplies, clothing, shoes and blankets for the children and their families.
How Our Outreach Works?
Weekly volunteers fills backpacks with nutritious food for the children and their family.
Backpacks are delivered to the schools on Tuesday-Thursday
On Friday, students receive their backpacks filled with necessary food and nutrition for the weekend.
